Welcome to byWinslow dot com, and Winslow Fine Art Photography. I’m Garrett Winslow, a Photographer based in Las Vegas, Nevada; however I will travel anywhere I am requested.
This is where I’m supposed to brag shamelessly about my talents. I really dislike that with “about me” pages. I have goals… I have not met them yet.
My first love Photographically is People, from all walks of life. I truly love people and building relationships that assist me in capturing the real you. I love to foster an environment where the people I Photograph are lost in the moment and the experience they receive is euphoric and like none other. Anyone can take a picture with a cell phone. In my sessions it’s all about the experience, and what I call Photo Therapy. I am also a makeup artist, and this service is included in all my sessions. It’s one thing to take a picture of someone, it’s an entirely different thing to compose a portrait of who they actually are.
My main focus Photographically is Weddings, Couples, Engagements, Kids, and Senior Imagery, however not a day goes by that I do not have a camera in my hand. I can and have Photographed just about anything. If you will look through my portfolios you will notice that my imagery is not cookie cutter in it’s approach.
When not commissioned by others I focus on my fine art photography. My goal with all of my work is to create a Photograph, not take a snapshot. What this means to me is that I love to create individual works of art, particularly with dancers and the world of Ballet. I also love to get out of the studio and into very remote locations. Put a person or two in that environment? Awesome!
When I’m not commissioned to do a portrait or an event I also teach Photography. I am the educational chairperson with the Nevada Camera Club, which has been in existence for over 30 years.
