This weeks blog post is reflection. I chose the featured image for this post very carefully. Why you might say? There are many types of reflection. One we get when looking into a mirror. The one we get from mountains reflecting onto the water. Or the Milky Way reflecting on to a mountain lake with the super clear skies at 9,000 feet. All of these reflections are in my portfolio, and some of those are contained in this post.

The Reflection Image Above Is That Of One Looking Back
This Thanksgiving Week, I'm looking back at what I have to be thankful for? Well that list is long... very long my friends! I've been blessed to live a long life with many achievements. My Father passed at the very young age of 52. That was 46 years ago this coming May. I miss him every single day. Meeting my father at the ripe old age of 16?... Was the greatest thing that ever occurred for me.
At the time I was on a path that was very uncertain. Meeting my father helped me finally see who I was. Prior to that I really did not know who I was, or where I was going. Many of you might think this is "sad." In this case meeting him, was not. His passing just seven years later was sad. I had very few years with him.
My Father Was A Photographer
In addition he was also a businessman, with a very famous shoe store on Fremont Street. The clientele of this shoe store were from all walks of life, but also? His clientele included many famous stars of the time that lived or visited Las Vegas. Yes, to this day I remember taking 200 pair of springolator's to Mitzi Gaynor's, and returning to the store with only two pair. Juliet Prowse, and Debbie Reynolds were also clients, along with many more stars. At the time my Uncle was the manager of the June Taylor Dancers on the Strip, so they were clients as well.

I Have Some Big Changes Coming In The New Year
I'll be formally announcing those changes soon. But this Thanksgiving I'm looking back a bit at what my father, his clientele, and Photography have done for me. Once again the list is extensive. My experiences have been awesome, and I'm looking forward to the changes coming for me in 2024.

You Will Be Able To Capture The Image Above This Summer!
This is one of the changes coming soon that I can tell you about. I'll be able to show you and teach you how to capture the image above, along with many more locations, that are only a couple of hours from Las Vegas. This summer I'll be based in Southern Utah. I'll be leading PhotoSafaris from that location all summer. Some of them will be free of charge.

What Are You Reflecting Upon?
Do some of those reflections have to do with your Photography? Did you take pictures of those reflections? Some of those images could be of family, or trips you have taken, or accomplishment's you might have attained? Do those images hang upon your walls?
Did you learn new techniques of capture or editing? Sometimes with all that happens in our lives we do not really remember some of these things till we actually sit down... pause... and reflect.
As I type this one key reflection I would like you all to know is how thankful I am for you! Writing a weekly blog post is something I NEVER even considered doing! I am NOT a writer! Many of you have come forward publicly, and privately, letting me know how much you enjoy reading the thoughts in my pea brain.
I thank you all for this! Never did I imagine my feldercarb would be so well received. There is a standard out there for 'open rates" of a blog like this. Thanks to all of you my open rates are very high. I am humbled by this, and I wish you all to know that you've made my Thanksgiving much brighter this year.
Our week is busy so I'm making this post short. Please!... all of you enjoy your family time! Also please take special care to take your time and be safe!
