Free PhotoSafari! Thursday April 13th and another on Friday April 14th, 2023

Announcing a free PhotoSafari get together at the Clark County Fair & Rodeo as a thank you to all of my followers! I will be hitting the Clark County Fair at opening Thursday Morning April 13th at 10:00am, taking in all the activities offered, and staying for the PRCA Rodeo 7:00pm session.
I’ll Be Meeting Anyone Who Comes to Hang Out In Front of the Main Entrance at 9:45am!
As I type this I have no idea what ticket prices are. The Clark County Fair and Rodeo website uses a third party ticket service. I’m fairly certain if I buy tickets in person it’s cheaper. I’ll be updating this post as soon as I can get a phone call in. But even if I buy tickets through the third party I think it’s like $40.00 for fair admission and the rodeo. However, I’ll buy mine at the door.
I will probably do exactly the same thing on Friday April 14th. I really like the Clark county Fair and Rodeo because it’s “small time” like when I was a kid except for the Rodeo witch is a Major PRCA event. This is a great time to practice shooting a Rodeo from the stands. You’ll want fast glass as the evening hits. The bucking chutes are directly across from the stands about fifty yards away, and the Roping Chutes are off to the right in the middle of that distance of the arena.

So lens wise I would take a 24-70 f/2.8 and a 70-200 f2.8. If you don’t have “fast glass” no problem… bring what you have and raise your ISO to compensate. You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit! It’s better than sitting home on the couch! Besides… you can adjust for noise with software.
All of the Images you see in this post were taken with a D-850 and a 135 Sigma @ F/2 ISO around 1600 @ around 1/500th of a second and they were taken under the lights at night.
Bottom line I’m scheduling this day as an escape, and relax kind of thing. So fun and relaxation with Photography friends is what I have in mind! Come On Down!
